What creates the relationship between us and the things we own? There's a noticeable energetic difference between the things that hang in our closets without meaning and those that bring something to our lives. I've always been interested in this. It's a seemingly silly interest until you sense how this connection can change the way you feel. This month, I put a pair of long-sleeved pajamas on the top of my pajama pile and found myself wanting to wear them every night.
The little act of switching from short to long-sleeved pajamas created a nightly ritual of slowing down to notice what's happening at this exact moment in the season. My new pajamas helped me process how much there is to embrace when everything around us is changing. There's something comforting about the fact that change happens for us at the same time as the color of the leaves and the temperature of the breeze. And with change comes new beginnings. Fall has always felt like a new beginning to me.
Wishing you cozy nights, warm cups of tea, and maybe a new pair of long-sleeved pajamas.
With much love,
Olivia
