Femme to Table
Before the spread of covid-19 my meals were a given, and mostly determined by Seamless or Resy. For two months, I've been in quarantine with my husband and daughter in our 1,000-square-foot garden apartment in Brooklyn.
Our time in quarantine has given me the headspace to seriously explore where our food comes from. I'm newly awake to the fact that a food choice is a vote for a larger system. These systems determine our health, the planet's well being, the livelihoods of so many people and even politics. By the same token, food deeply connects us to the earth and to each other. Here is our roundup of women farmers, grocers and food entrepreneurs, all supportive of systems that get our vote.
